Hagar Returning to Riverside International Speedway This Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. (July 14, 2022) – Derek Hagar plans to venture to Riverside International Speedway this Saturday for the Big Creek Cannabis 360 Winged Sprint Summer Special.
It will mark his fifth 360ci winged sprint car start at the track this season. Hagar recorded two wins and a runner-up result during his first three visits prior to his most recent race there on July 2, when a pill draw got the team behind from the start of the night.
“Early in the night the track was really greasy and it wasn’t maneuverable,” he said. “You couldn’t hardly pass.”
Hagar advanced from sixth to fifth place during the USCS Series heat race, which ranked 13th in overall points. That lined him up on the inside of the seventh row for the main event.
“We freed up for the feature and went a little too far,” he said. “I couldn’t get the speed I needed. We were able to salvage a sixth-place run, but it wasn’t as good as it should have been.”
Hagar gained seven positions, which was tied for the third most positions gained during the 30-lap feature.
“We’ve made a couple of changes on the car since then because we are anticipating the track to be the same,” he said. “Hopefully we can get off to a stronger start and be in contention for another win by the end of the night.”
